Sydney Test - Round up

The recently concluded Sydney test will be remembered long for wrong reasons. Ponting has joined a list of mean captains following Allan Border, Steve Waugh. I suppose Mark Taylor is the only Aussie captain who had played the game in it's spirit for the past 20 yrs, and still the best Captain of all in my view. Taylor is very widely known for his sporting declarations, apart from a decent on field behavior.

Ricky might be a good batsman, but I expected him to be little more honest. Let aside the umpiring decisions against Symonds and Hussey. You'll have to clean bowl Symonds for him to walk away quietly, else he will stay in the crease and stare at the umpire. As a matter of fact, I don't expect any Australian (except Gilchrist) to walk off. Most International players don't do it. The question of catches carrying cleanly has to do totally with self judgement and honesty. Ponting must have done it due to the following reasons

a.) They were under the mat for most of the 5 days, so they thought they might not make 16 tests in a row and indulged in cheap tactics.
b.) Ponting sorely misses bowlers like Mcgrath and Warne, with whom life would have been lot easier, Johnson is no replacement for Mcgrath. He is good but still not upto mark.

As for complaints on Harbhajan, one will have to accept that Bhajji told something to Symonds. Symonds is one of the world's most primitive race, and along with Clarke they really form a barbarian pair capable of provoking even the coolest guy like Chris Gayle ;-).. Countries like US are on top and will remain on top solely for this reason, they respect talent and don't see your color (there are few exceptions, but I'm saying mostly).

In an era where most ppl accept and acknowledge that racism isn't leading you anywhere, I still can't comprehend why Aussie, German and British arses alone cannot understand this. You ain't superior!!.
